A large gathering took place in Nakawa East, Kampala, where Bobi Wine addressed residents ahead of the upcoming election. The event drew an estimated 5 million people, many of whom attended to hear updates on the political situation and discuss their concerns about the future. A significant portion of the crowd consisted of young people expressing frustration about limited opportunities and uncertainty about the country’s direction.

Supporters of the NUP continue to prepare for what they expect to be a major turnout on election day. During his address, Bobi Wine focused on issues affecting young graduates who struggle to find employment after leaving university. His message comes at a time when many Ugandans are questioning whether the long-standing leadership of Yoweri Museveni, in power since 1986, may be approaching a turning point.

Reports from the area also indicate that police officers were stopping people from moving freely, with some individuals allegedly being turned away or subjected to force, including pushing and hitting with batons. These incidents have added tension to an already heightened political atmosphere as the election approaches.
